Who is responsible

GradusReader is responsible for the data described here. For anything below, write to contact@gradusreader.com.

What we store

• The email address you enter to get early access.
• If you choose to answer the optional questions: the language you read in, your level, and the first book you would like adapted.
• When you signed up, and when you answered the optional questions.

We count page views per day as a single number for the whole site. We also use GoatCounter to count four events: a landing page view, an interaction with the demo, starting signup, and successful signup. Our server relays these event requests and the technical request data needed to count visits, such as your IP address and browser details, to GoatCounter. It does not send your email address or optional answers. Your browser contacts only our site for analytics. We do not use cookies.

Why, and on what basis

To send you one email when GradusReader launches, and to decide what to build first from your optional answers. We do it because you asked us to by submitting the form (your consent). We use your address for nothing else and do not share or sell it. If that ever changes, we will ask you first.

Who handles it for us

The site and its database are hosted on Railway (railway.com), in its Amsterdam (Netherlands) data centre inside the EU. GoatCounter processes analytics data on our behalf. Like any host, Railway may keep ordinary server logs that include IP addresses for a short time. We do not store IP addresses ourselves.

How long we keep it

Until we have sent the launch email, then we delete the list unless you tell us you want to stay on it. If we have not launched within 24 months of your signing up, we delete it anyway.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email the address above from the address you signed up with. We will reply within a month and act on deletion requests by hand. Withdrawing does not affect anything done before.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
